I always need to check in over at Perpetual Kid to see what they have going on. This week, it’s the ridiculous selection of gifts over at PK.

Michael Moran
Michael James Moran of Woodworked Furniture makes custom pieces for his clients. Crafted entirely by hand and finished with plant-based clear coat instead of dyes, the history and provenance of each piece of responsibly harvested and reclaimed wood is clear in each piece that Michael makes.
I am a big fan of hand-crafted furniture and am always impressed by the time and energy spent on one piece of furniture. Bravo, Michael. These pieces are amazing!

Lacie
Ipod
The new Shuffle has just hit the market and it’s smaller than your house key. Good? Bad? You decide — vote below. Either way, the best addition to this model has to be the new VoiceOver feature which compensates for the long-discussed anti-screen. You can manage multiple playlists and get song titles by voiceover at the touch of a button.

Moodwall
Media architecture collective Urban Alliance has recently finished the Moodwall: a 24-meter long interactive light installation in Amsterdam. The Moodwall is located in a pedestrian tunnel and it interacts with people who pass through. Really cool idea, but somehow i can't imagine it here in rio... too bad.... (já pensou isso no aterro do flamengo ou naquela passagem perto do rio sul?)
Urban Alliance is a collaboration of:
- Studio Klink (architecture and design) - http://www.studioklink.com
- Illuminate (interactive lighting and video content) - www.illuminate.nl
- Cube (building and development) - www.cube-arch.com

A Balanced Meal
"his bowl is meant to enhance the user’s dining experience and awareness through a subtle play on balance. Filling the bowl with food causes the bowl to balance in a standard, horizontal position. As the food is eaten, the bowl slowly rocks back towards the user, making the remaining food more accessible and marking the end of the meal."
